Send good vibes to Bryan

To everyone out there with some good karma or an inside line to the Lord above. Think something positive for Bryan Sweeney who suffered a horrific crash this morning and busted his ribs and his fork, bruised his back and cracked his helmet.
He’s a good rider and a good man, and yes, he’s the handsome devil on the left of this photo. If you want to send him a note to tell him to get better, by all means, do so:

In the good news department, an associate named Mr. Aubrey has lost an astounding 15 pounds on the bicycle. Scott N., who was previously the poster boy for born-again athleticism, has twisted his ankle and his campaign is on hold. We feel Mr. Noble’s pain, as he had lost 7 pounds and two belt loops.
I had a chat with Coach Josh today, who was previously released on the charge of attempted murder, and he says if the knee doesn’t get any better in two weeks, there’s a trip to Arizona in my future.
There, the bicycle gurus who fit the Discovery Team will fit me and make shoe inserts that keep me going strong.
I’m supposed to only wear one pair of shoes for cycling, stretch, ice, and take Advil after the ride, not before.
If it doesn’t get better, we’ll attack the problem with a first-class solution. No sense doing it halfway.
Tomorrow, we see my favorite local mechanic who’ll give me a cleat fitting. I hope that makes life better.
And yes, the Nike Lance Shoes I purchased during “TREK’S YELLOW TAG SAVINGS!” are to be put back into the closet. They hurt like hell on any ride longer than two hours. Josh says they are not good for the knees.
