The Hobey was better than the Hall
This morning, I had another inspirational chat with the great B. Lane MacDonald. Readers of this space will recall the fact that Mr. MacDonald is one of the greatest athletes in the history of collegiate sport. A National Champion, Olympian, Bean Pot Winner, and member of the United States Hockey Hall of Fame, he was kind enough to answer a question this morning.
"What was better? Winning the Hobey Baker Award for being the finest collegiate hockey player in the country, or being inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame?"
The humble athlete was quiet for a moment, then replied with a smile that brought the moment back from 1989 to the present, "The Hobey...because it was in real time."
It is good to note that Mr. MacDonald is a fan of one of Hill, Holliday's great men of potential, David Hymovitz. Mr. Hymovitz was the Captain of the BC hockey team. His reputation for toughness on the ice and integrity off of it live on. Today, he is an account executive in our shop.
