showers pass

Well, after living with a five-year-old cycling jacket that doesn't function anymore, I dug deep and bought a new one. REI has a new brand called "showers pass" and it's a lot of jacket for $100. Best of all, it's new, so it doesn't leak, and the zippers actually work.

Also had to buy a new pair of novara gloves. My REI dividend was a healthy $31, so I walked out the door for about $100.

All of my cycling clothing is wearing out and it's all old so I have to get some new stuff. It's no fun spending money, but it's a worthwhile endeavor.

Enjoyed outdoor riding on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday which is a gift, given that this is February.
