The Man Fights The Disease
Saturday morning, the man was feeling fine. Saturday night, his hind legs were bothering him. Sunday morning, he could barely get up. The Man was picked up by his human companion, and carried to the Ford Explorer. He was dispatched to the New England Emergency Animal Care Center, where he was diagnosed and treated for Lyme's disease. The fact that this disease can reduce a healthy dog to near cripple status in a day is horrifying. The professionals there are taking good care of the man, and he has been named the official mascot of the institution. No matter how much he hurts, he's still cheery as all get out. We should all be as happy as a dog named Lance.
