HILL HOLLIDAY PROMOTES KAREN KAPLAN TO PRESIDENT OF THE AGENCY’S NATIONAL

BOSTON – June 28, 2007 – Today, Hill Holliday announced that agency veteran and current president of the Boston office, Karen Kaplan, has been promoted
to president of the agency’s national network. Ms. Kaplan, 47, is a
well-known business leader in Boston and has been at Hill Holliday for 25
years. Hill Holliday is a top 20 U.S. agency and has offices in Boston; New
York; Miami and Greenville, SC.
“Karen is integral to the heart and soul of Hill Holliday,” said Mike
Sheehan, CEO, Hill Holliday. “She has truly helped to shape this place into
one of the top communications agencies in the nation. Karen is a
highly-regarded business and community leader, philanthropist and

Kaplan joined the agency in 1982 as a receptionist and quickly climbed the
agency ladder to her current second-in-command post. She is only the third
person to hold the network president title in the 39-year history of the
agency following founder Jack Connors and current CEO Mike Sheehan. Hill
Holliday has experienced significant new business momentum of late with a
string of wins that include Bank of America’s Global Wealth and Investment
Management division, AOL, Toys “R” Us, P&G, Novartis and Rockport. The
agency is poised for continued growth through 2007.
