Dr. Armstrong

On Sunday, Mr. Lance Armstrong became Dr. Lance Armstrong at Tufts University where he told graduates that "The only way to live life and to lead life is actively and as active citizens." Dr. Armstrong was in good form, and appeared to have gained some muscle mass on his upper body.

After commencement, President Bacow, who is a scholar, an athlete, and a philanthropist, invited us to his home for lunch and a few words with Dr. Armstrong. There, the seven-time Tour de France champion, who quipped that he barely graduated from high school, attempted to eat his lunch. No luck. He was swarmed by people who wanted to say hello, and share a personal story with him.

Overall, Lance did a great job, but as you'd suspect, he appears to be more comfortable in Austin than Boston. At home, he knows where the entrances and exits are to every building. Kudos to Tufts University for having the chutzpah to bring the man in for graduation day.
