Bill Schenck, rest in peace

St. George's lost a legend last week with the passing of William M. Schenck, a dedicated member of the faculty from 1952 until 1990, faculty emeritus most recently, and a beloved member of the school community. In his 37 years on the Hilltop he served as history teacher, chairman of the history department, director of studies, assistant headmaster, acting headmaster, assistant director of admission, summer school director, and dormitory supervisor. I had the honor of serving as a prefect in Mr. Schenck's dorm, and he was dedicated to the school like no one else.
