This morning, I made the tragic mistake of stepping upon the scale and discovered that I have become a husky fellow. Despite a decent amount of exercise, the nine days away from home and countless restaurant meals put a few pounds on the frame.

The spinning students who assembled this morning for my class had no idea why they were being punished for my portliness, but they suffered like mules nonetheless. One of them even begged for mercy.

The time trial on Saturday should be worth watching. Let's see if Sastre can have the time trial of a lifetime. The smart money is betting on Evans. There are horses for courses, and the time trial course fits Mr. Evans just fine.
