ultimate workplace parking

Had the chance to visit corporate headquarters of L.L. Bean in Freeport, Maine. When you work at Bean headquarters, you get to park your bike in style. This rack lives under a staircase on the campus. No need to lock your bike, all you have to do is hang it.

Bean also has a large gym with cardio equipment and strength-conditioning equipment. Pretty cool. The beauty of owning your space is you can design the space the way you want it.

In Boston, we have to lock our bikes to a rack in the garage. A co-worker by the name of Pete had his bicycle stolen off the rack, despite the fact that it was locked. He thinks it was an inside job.

No wonder they say, "Life is better in Maine."

Best to all,
