skipper/crew reunion

Dr. Ep, one of the finest spinnaker trimmers on planet earth, was in town for a few days so we went for a spin. Dr. Ep stands in front of her shiny, new Lemond bicycle, which is 8 pounds lighter than her old ride. We knocked out 40 miles and had a decent time.

A world-class sailor, Dr. Ep is one of the people searching for a cure for cancer. She also pitches for the company softball team, and still has fast enough reflexes to catch a ball smashed at her face by a 23-year-old former frat boy. Dr. Ep stands in front of the family Hull home, which faces the bay and enjoys the sweet south westerly. Husband Tom, who is better at fixing houses than I am, is in the background.
